You woke up, saw a Peacock in your backyard, and thought “Where’s my camera, I need to take a picture!. . . . . . . . . . wait, why is there a Peacock in my backyard?”
That was not the way I expected to start my day today. After some discussion with the neighbors, it was decided that this was a young, male Peacock who had escaped from someone. He was rather tame, and based on his determined path over fences and through various yards, he had a destination in mind.
We called the sheriff (seriously, who do you call to report a random Peacock?) and they called animal control. Eventually, the Peacock disappeared into a yard on another street before there was any sign of animal control.
